I believe that I obtain the qualities that a great teacher should have. I am a leader and can conduct a productive environment. I listen to others and value their thoughts and opinions. I believe that building connections with people is important, and having open communication is vital for strong relationships. I am hard working and know that there is always more I can learn. I will continue to grow my knowledge and skills so that I am the best educator I can be for my students.
Auburn Mentoring Program
2014 - 2016
This is a program that allows Auburn students to tutor and mentor students throughout the Auburn and Opelika community. I am placed at Auburn Public Library where I tutor several 3rd and 4th grade girls. These students have recently moved to America and are trying to adjust in school. I have to be creative when helping these students learn, because there is often a language barrier between us. I believe that this experience allowed me to see where students may struggle and for me to figure a way to help them understand the information.
WCRL Radio
Summer 2015 - Summer 2016
I was a co-host on the Jeremy and Chris Morning Show on 95.3 WCRL. I also hosted the Wrap-Up Show that took phone calls about topics talked about in the morning show. In my job description, I also sold advertisment for air time during the radio broadcasts.
Oneonta City Pool - Lifeguard
Summer 2014
I ensured the safety of the children and families swimming at the Oneonta City Pool. I am also certified and trained in CPR and First Aid.
